About Us

We are Licence to Win, a student-led business founded by four Year 13 pupils from Pakūranga College: Daniel Meyer, Liam Gallagher, Boston Boun, and Reuben Meyer.

Our journey began not in a boardroom, but out of a shared frustration: the New Zealand Road Code is essential, but the process of studying for the learner's licence test is often boring and unengaging. We realized we weren't alone, especially after discovering that thousands of Kiwis fail their theory test every year. We knew there had to be a better way to ensure young drivers were not just passing a test, but genuinely learning the rules of the road.

Our Product: Learn Through Play

Our solution is Licence to Win, the card game that transforms the official NZTA Road Code test questions into a fun, competitive, and social experience.

Forget dry rule books and tiresome online quizzes. Our game allows students to learn through play, quizzing each other and competing with friends who are at the same stage in their driving journey. By making the process interactive and competitive, the information sticks more effectively, transforming test preparation from a chore into something genuinely enjoyable.

Our Mission

Our main goal is simple: to help aspiring Kiwi drivers gain more independence and confidence by making it easier, more effective, and more enjoyable to learn the Road Code.

Looking ahead, we are not stopping at New Zealand. We are working to adapt the game for international markets like Australia and the United Kingdom, helping young drivers get on the road safely worldwide. Licence to Win is about transforming study into success, one card game at a time.
